what a weekend. I was invited to perform at the Maker Fair VJ battle. If you have never heard about the Maker Fair, its absolutely mind crunching. It felt like Macgyver and a bunch of burning man art creatures collided in various sized airships, their mind and soul guts hitting the ground, sprouting highly intelligent and creative electrolegolized playgrounds! Outrageous and downright necessary for the creative geek in all of us. Neways here is a small video clip of me performing at the Fair, I'm the guy on the left with the turtle.

Those LEDs are one of the coolest things I saw there. The lights are made in individual bundles, complete with battery and magnet. The magnet is so you can throw these suckers way up onto lovely skyscraper walls and bridge towers. essentially peppering the urban landscape with your own mind bending light installations.

I really never understood video art. I mean, it's just a bunch of images being displayed on a screen. The rave scene is dead, you rarely see this stuff in clubs. Is video art now restricted just to video salons and shows such as this? Hate to say it, but, who cares? Perhaps I just get more out of art that stays around awhile and is not so transient.
I'm sorry that your thinking on this subject is so misinformed. There is actually quit a lot of amazing audio visual art being created and developed around the world. Check these links for a quick bite. I think you should do a little research before you knock down a very vibrant art form that has thousands of intelligent people within its ranks.
